新 週休6日 (New 6-Day Weekend)

Our updated 6 Day Weekend, powered up with a hop blend featuring greater citrus and tropical aromas, whilst keeping its uniqueness as our flagship Belgian Session IPA.

[Character]
The same 6 day weekend as before, but now refined with a brighter crisp character, and stronger tropical and fruity hop flavours. Now can conditioned for a softer natural carbonation mouthfeel.
[Food Pairing]
White fish in "saikyo" miso, with citrus salad. Sliced spiced onions in olive oil, seared chicken. Garlic and herb infused cream cheese with crackers.
[Naming]
Since this beer is both infinitely drinkable and low in alcohol, we decided to play on the common phrase regarding work conditions 'Shuukyuu Futsuka', literally translated as "two days break per week". Since this beer won't be too hard on the liver, we figured it's ok to relax with a few of these more often and decided to call it 'Shuukyuu Muika' or "6 Day Weekend”. This is a lifestyle that few can enjoy, but perhaps this beer can make one get a little sense of the feeling!
[Brewer's Voice]
We have a never-ending mission to improve, not only making our beers more impactful, but to also ensure our beers keep that impact as long as possible. These changes are needed since our ingredients change over time, not to mention the world of craft beer itself, and so we need to ensure that our beers to maintain their quality. The changes to 6 Day Weekend are minor, but they really help improve the impact and stability of the beer. Flavour-wise, we wanted to soften it up a little bit so we increased the amount of wheat. In addition to this extra wheat, we increased our rest temperature for our malt to bring up the finishing gravity slightly, adding some subtle malt sweetness. We retooled the hop profile just slightly whilst keeping the flavour and aroma of the existing hop blend of Citra, Simcoe, and Waimea, which we like very much, but instead leaning more into our new more concentrated hop oils to increase the overall hop load in the beer while reducing the organic material. This helps give the beer an even cleaner finish with a slightly more prominent hop aroma, and we immediately found that the fruit flavours and aromas are noticeably brighter in this already drinkable beer. All these changes are very subtle, but the one big change is that this beer is now can-conditioned! We went through months of testing to dial this beer in and ensure the hop aroma was the same or better than before. This can conditioning lowers the amount of oxygen in the can after packaging which helps prevent the hop oils from oxidizing and breaking down, and it also allows us to give the beer a brighter, more natural carbonation character, bringing out even more of the flavour. As 6 Day Weekend is a real core part of our line up, we made sure these tweaks take what make this beer great, but refine it to make the beer even more enjoyable, whilst also ensuring that the character we love so much stays locked in at that higher intensity for a longer period of time. We hope you are as pleased with this change as we are!

Naming: アルコール度数が控えめで飲みやすいこのビールは肝臓にもすこし優しいことから、考えついたのは週休2日をもじった「週休6日」です。週に2日の休日だけでなく、週のうち6日飲んでも大丈夫かも!?
