Character:
This copper hued golden ale, brewed with puffed rice has notes of honey, biscuit, caramel and toffee, offers a smooth rich finish with a full bodied and semi sweet malt character.
Naming:
This collaboration, made with Seoul Brewing in South Korea, is a golden ale using the popular street snack of puffed rice, which has overlap between Japanese and Korean cultures. In Korean, puffed rice is called "bontigi", and the first "bon" or "pon" in the name is the same in Japanese, referring to the popping sound that the rice makes when it is puffed. A beer to break down cultural borders: just say "pon!" and come on in!
