A Red IPA with a deep scarlet hue boasting plenty of fruity notes on the sweet malt base
[Character]Rich, dark fruit flavors from crystal malts combine with the fruity character of our house yeast and American hops in a balanced Red IPA.[Food Pairing]Hayashi rice, caprese, fried white fish[Naming]The kanji for "緋" (pronounced "hee") means scarlet, with the "mari" being the kanji for hop Himari is quite the looker, and her beautiful hue of scarlet and ruby is her namesake.[Brewer's Voice]This is our third iteration of Himari, one of our favorite new additions to the Hop Family series from 2021. The combination of our house Belgian yeast, dark crystal malts, and fruity American hops is a winner in itself, but we made minor modifications for this re-release. The bitterness is toned down a little bit and the hops have been moved to earlier in the process to focus more on flavor than aroma.
