Brewer's Voice:
Experimentation is where the fun of craft beer truly lies. Exploration is one of our core values, and so we are always searching for new combinations of flavours and ways to give new fresh beers to our fans. We continue that adventure here in our 3rd installment of our Hyotto series. With this installment, we took a fresh take on a Belgian IPA featuring a blend of Mosaic Hops with New Zealand Rakau and Riwaka. The base beer comes from a familiar blend of Pilsner malt with a touch of Munich and dextrin, adding depth and body. In this beer, we are experimenting with the addition of a Riwaka Hop Keif blended with Grapefruit Kush Terpenes. This combination gives the beer an intense berry, citrus, and stone fruit tropical character, blended with a Cannabis-like resin for a very dank tasting IPA. We didn’t stop there; we wanted to see how this terpene blend evolved through the can conditioning process. This gives the beer a crisp and bright natural carbonation to carry those intense tropical resinous fruit aromas to your nose on every sip.
