A refreshing saison, perfect as an aperitif or to enjoy with food
[Character]Refreshingly simple beer with unique character from a special Saison yeast.[Food Pairing]Soaked green vegetables, white fish tempura with sansho pepper, meat shumai[Naming]The name "Sosei" roughly means to be revived or regenerated. It also contains a nuance of the life brought to the land following rainfall. This seemed fitting for a beer style originating in rural farming regions of Belgium, as well as being a light alcohol refreshing beer released at the peak of the Summer heat.[Brewer's Voice]One of the most attractive things about the Saison style is its breadth. The "Beginning" version that we released previously was on the high end of the ABV spectrum, but this release is completely opposite. At just 4%, this beer is probably more similar to the roots of the style, where low alcohol beers were consumed in high volume by farmworkers. The unique character of Saison yeast provides a much richer and dynamic flavor than other beers of similar strength. The grainy character of Belgian Pilsner malt is supported by a small addition of Vienna malt, added a little more depth and a touch of sweetness. The end result is a beer that is refreshing yet complex despite its simplicity.StyleTable SaisonSeriesPilglim's respiteABV4.0%IBU14Gas Volume2.8MaltPilsner, ViennaHopSaaz, SpalterYeastSaisonCategoryUnknownJAN4589718740126Best Before2024/06/23
