A kettle sour made with hibiscus and orange juice for a tropical sensation for both the eyes and the tongue!
[Character]Natural pink color and berry flavor from Hibiscus flowers combine with orange in this cocktail-like sour.[Food Pairing]Asparagus and orange salad, white fish with fried shiso, sliced beef stewed in tomato and herbs[Naming]This recipe was inspired by sorrel, a native Caribbean drink. Whilst we have foregone the spices, the core character of the orange and hibiscus are what give this beer both the fruity character and red-orange colour. Thinking of a refreshing drink with a hue reminiscent of a Caribbean sunset, the naming for this became pretty straightforward![Brewer's Voice]Sunset Juice is back with a new recipe! The idea for this beer came from a Carribean drink whose pink hue and sour flavor are naturally created by the hibiscus flowers used to make it. We originally made this beer with Mikan peel in the boil instead of hops which was fun but never really contributed as much citrus flavor as we hoped. We addressed that this time with the addition of orange juice giving the beer a more refreshing character. We lost a bit of the color of the original but are quite pleased with the final result.StyleFruit SourSeriesIridescenceABV5.5%IBU0.0%Gas Volume2.5MaltPilsnerHopNoneYeastLactic Ale YeastOthersOrange Juice, HibiscusCategoryHapposhuJAN4589718741055Best Before2023/06/14
