よいやさ (Yoiyasa)

A super drinkable beer perfect for a long day's drinking with festival food!

[Character]
Light and refreshing beer that still has a lot of flavor. Fruity and bready character from yeast. Hops are rich ripe fruit with aromas of citrus and tropical.
[Food Pairing]
Salt pickled cucumber, meat with yakiniku sauce, salted butter squid
[Naming]
Yoiyasa is a kind of call made at certain types of Japanese festival, and we felt that summed up the mood of this beer nicely. A refreshing pint to have while in full flow on a warm day celebrating!
[Brewer's Voice]
Beer festivals are fun but they can be long and tiring. A whole day of drinking a wide range of beers and eating greasy (but satisfying) food. For this year's Keyaki autumn festival, we decided to make a beer that could be your first, middle, and last beer of the day and go with anything on the food menu.

The malt is quite simple, Pilsner with a touch of chit for body. Hops are classic American varieties, combining the expressive bitterness of Columbus, the ripe fruit and oily character of Mosaic, and the light, high citrus notes of Amarillo. This is tied together with an expressive yeast that adds flavors of apple and tropical fruit.

We designed this as a go to beer whether it is the first of the day, something you want to enjoy with food, or one where you want a beer but your palate is tired of hoppy IPAs and adjunct heavy stouts. Enjoy.
