冬の気まぐれ 2016 (Fuyuno Kimagure 2016)

While winter brings the sometimes difficult transition between two calendar years, it also brings the release of our winter seasonal Fuyu no Kimagure. This year's version is a White Pale Ale, and while it shares some of the juicy hop characteristics as last year's, there is more of a focus on blending the aroma of the yeast and the hops. The yeast, Northwest Ale, was also used in Aki no Kimagure, where we noticed a distinct white grape aroma and flavour nuance. We paired this with Nelson Sauvin and Mosaic hops, known for white grape and tropical flavours and aromas respectively. The yeast also accentuates the light acidity from the use of 40% wheat malt, which also gives the beer its snow-like colour. We hope that this beer can invoke images of snowflakes while you are enjoying it with friends, coworkers, and family at this cold yet festive time of year.
