ええとこどり (Best of Both Worlds)

New England IPAs have recently become all the rage, with their murky appearance, incredible hop aroma, and juice-like flavor. While we have no plans to make a Hazy IPA any time soon, we have been experimenting with incorporating some of the aspects of these beers we enjoy the most into our limited release IPAs as of late. Beginning with 'Fuyu no Kimagure' and continuing with beers like 'Minami Hankyu no Asahi' (Sunrise Down Under), 'Shochu Mimai', and 'Mario', we shifted more of the hops to later in the brewing process in order to keep more of their flavour and aroma in the beer.

Our experimentation continues in this brew, and the hops featured are Mosaic, Chinook, and Centennial. The result is a hop-bomb of a beer that drinks like a typical IPA but finishes with a strong juicy flavour and aroma that keeps you going back for more!

Naming: While we aren't big fans of pigeonholes, it would probably be fair to say that in our first year or so, when we chose to make an American IPA, we would normally do so in a fashion closer to West Coast than East. This beer steals some elements that we like about New England IPAs whilst simultaneously keeping certain elements in line with beers we have released in the past. On top of this, despite being a sturdy 7%, we focused on making this one as easy to drink as possible, with plenty of juicy hop character. Enjoy!
