小麦畑でつかまえて (Catcher in the Wheat)

1 bar limited to 1x kegs max

The hops featured in this beer are HBC 344 and HBC 366, also known as Equinox. From our experimentation, it seemed like Equinox left a sweeter flavor of citrus and tropical fruit, while HBC 344 was a sharper and more intense tropical character, almost like mangoes, papayas, and even durian. In combination, they make Catcher in the Wheat a refreshing citrusy wheat ale perfect for the lingering days of summer.

Naming: The inspiration for naming 'Komugibatake de Tsukamaete' ("Catcher in the Wheat") of course came from the famous JD Salinger book Catcher in the Rye. Using 25% rye in a similar beer would almost certainly mean trouble in the brewhouse, so Catcher in the Wheat seemed much more suitable for beer!
